What would your role within Sentiance?
As a VP of Mobile Engineering, you will manage a geographically distributed team of Mobile Engineers. Mobile Engineering at Sentiance does not focus on traditional app development, but rather on developing SDKs for data collection and data processing than can be embedded into other apps. As such, it requires skills in background processing, in secure and safe software development, and in optimization for resource-constrained environments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and growing a diverse team of Mobile Engineers through effective recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and retention strategies for key talents in a highly competitive environment
Ensuring high quality and on time delivery of our SDK implementations on both iOS and Android
Maintaining standards and best practices in software development to deliver functional excellence in edge computing
Converting product and company goals into a technical roadmap
Facilitating communication with other teams and departments within the company
Provide work estimation, planning and execution with the team

What are the qualities we deem as essential to be successful into the role?
Academic degree (BSc or MSc) in computer science or related field.
8 years of work experience or more in software engineering.
At least 3 years of experience building and leading product-oriented technical teams.
Strong organisational leadership skills.
Analytical thinking and strong system/software design skills.
Working knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Data driven thinker
You are fluent in English
You can work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities
