Location: Antwerp (Belgium), Toronto (Canada), or Vilnius (Lithuania)


We are looking for the most ambitious and curious people to help drive our product forward and deliver it successfully to our clients. If you have at least 2 years of experience working as a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer and you are convinced that a fast-paced, high growth working environment would match your skills, this position may be a good fit for you. You will primarily work with our mobile development teams to contribute directly to the overall quality of the Sentiance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and designs of our mobile SDK, applications, and integrations
  • Take ownership of the quality assurance process and help expand systematic testing as part of the software development lifecycle
  • Define, document, and run data-driven test cases. Analyze test results, identify bugs and perform root cause analysis
  • Monitor trends in the mobile ecosystem and follow the evolutions of mobile operating systems
  • Provide quality and usability feedback to the engineering teams through detailed bug reports. Assist with regression testing and give support to reproduce productions issues
  • Participate in planning sessions and design reviews with the development teams, where you actively provide feedback and capture requirements for testing


Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring an energetic and creative approach to their work and masters the following skillset.

Education and experience

  • Academic degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in the software development industry, with a minimum of 2 years in software quality assurance
  • Hands-on experience in building and running mobile apps on both Android and iOS

Required technical skills

  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing structured and well-defined test plans and reports
  • Hands-on experience in automated testing, in particular, to
    • Run mobile UI tests on emulators and real devices
    • Record and replay gestures like swipe or scroll across multiple devices
    • Access and replay data from mobile sensors such as geolocation, accelerometer, and gyroscope
  • Knowledge in (shell) scripting and Python, in particular
  • Basic understanding of web technologies, back-end architectures, and cloud infrastructure

    • Fluent in English
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • You have extreme attention to detail and user experience
    • Maintain high-quality standards, but find a balance between quality, flexibility, and timely delivery
    • Self-starter and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
