At Sentiance, we use data science and machine learning to turn smartphone sensor data into rich behavioural insights. These insights enable our clients across insurance, mobility, well-being, and commerce industries to create innovative and personalized offerings that make their users’ lives safer, healthier, and ultimately more sustainable.

To achieve this, it requires state-of-the-art and innovative technologies. We are a mix of engineers and Scientists who strive every day to generate the most valuable and precise behavioural motion insights, design predictions and behaviour change models. What will you be doing?

As a product manager, you play a key role in defining the products we build for specific industries while enabling us to widen our footprint and retain customers.. Your role is vital in executing the strategy and delivering an excellent service to our customers, in doing so, you will be based near our headquarters in Belgium and report to our Head of Product. You will be creating our roadmap to get to product-market fit in your designated industry. This will be achieved through a mix of industry knowledge, market research interacting with existing/potential customers, RFP participation and through the interaction with the rest of the product, technology, sales and operations teams at Sentiance.

You’ll be working on the following domains: 

  • Building domain/customer insights - Use quantitative (surveys, A/B tests, etc.) and qualitative data (client interviews, feedback, etc.) to understand customer segments and the market. Leveraging this data to clearly define clients’ needs and pain points to generate actionable insights.
  • Creating Product strategy - Define the overall vision of the product that aligns with Sentiance’s strategy. Define an actionable roadmap with a prioritized list of product work, including technical debt/maintenance and innovation.
  • Lead product execution - Lead a cross-functional team to do product discovery and delivery. Defining the product requirements, delivery criteria and ensuring the quality of the built product along with pricing and revenue modelling. Also, provide seamless collaboration with all the stakeholders, including sales/marketing and customer success teams.
  • Influencing people - Manage and mentor direct reports to deliver desired product outcomes and continuously improve their skills/competencies.

Requirements

What are the qualities we deem essential to be successful in the role?


Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in business, alternatively a technical degree.

  • Working experience with mobile SDKs, complex software systems or APIs.

  • Have a good grasp of user-centred and experimental design, statistical analysis and multivariate testing.


Experience

  • Product management experience for a minimum of 5 years preferably across one of Sentiance’s core target industries. Alternatively in a software development or data services capacity, within medium-sized to larger corporations.

  • Experience in building business cases and new product initiatives, with a focus on market and opportunity sizing.

  • Domain-specific knowledge will be considered as a “nice to have”
    • Mobility:
      • Nice to have a good understanding of insurance business imperatives and to be able to establish solutions in accordance with them.

      • Experience with telematics solutions is a plus.

    • Banking:
      • Nice to have banking product management experience primarily in retail/consumer banking.

      • Or experience working in partnership with lines of business across a banking organization is a plus.

    • Retail:
      • Has helped brands to digitize their business or substantial experience in hyper-personalized O2O or digital marketing.

  • A desire and willingness to learn, a curious mindset works in an ambiguous environment.

  • Be able to wear more than one hat and roll up your sleeve to get the job done and make an impact.
