Location: Antwerp (Belgium), Toronto (Canada), or Vilnius (Lithuania)


As a Product Data Scientist, you will be a member of the product development organization in a cross-functional setting. You are an inquisitive thinker who is keen to practice data science, with experience ranging from designing and engineering data extraction processes to finding patterns and anomalies in data through analytical techniques. You have a strong interest in applying your technical skills further on a wide variety of real-world data. You believe that data science can lead to insights that can guide the future development of products.


Job description

  • Support the team with valuable data insights and help make decisions about product changes, new features, and improvements
  • You will help design and analyze experiments to understand ecosystems, user behaviors, and long+short term trends
  • Own a domain and work with engineers, product managers, and program managers to make that area a success
  • You sit at the intersection between product, engineering, and leadership to inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions
  • Help the team estimate and track opportunities and risks
  • Design and track the performance of A/B tests and the results of product changes and proactively provide data-driven insights
  • Join forces with your colleagues to update and improve our reporting system
  • You build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • You advocate for strong analytical standard methodologies across the organization
  • You are responsible for the definition, evaluation, and reporting of key product metrics
  • You will help foster a culture of experimentation to build a better product
  • Define key metrics to track the performance of the driving system to accelerate improvements
  • Present findings to key leadership to influence product roadmaps

Requirements

  • Excellent at communicating in English
  • Have at least 1-year of working experience with Python
  • Have a working knowledge of cloud services (AWS), ELK stack (Elastic, Kibana, etc), and data visualization tools
  • Highly business-result-oriented and comfortable with iterative processes
  • Able to extract and transform data with SQL queries
  • Have analytical/BI work experience
  • Keen on collecting and sharing business insights with your team/company
  • Able to understand the context of the domain and give timely insights
  • Have a degree in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science, or a similar field
